PE-former: Pose Estimation Transformer

چکیده
Vision transformer architectures have been demonstrated to work very effectively for image classification tasks. Efforts solve more challenging vision tasks with transformers rely on convolutional backbones feature extraction. In this paper we investigate the use of a pure architecture (i.e., one no CNN backbone) problem 2D body pose estimation. We evaluate two ViT COCO dataset. demonstrate that using an encoder-decoder yields state art results estimation problem.

Robust Optimal Pose Estimation
We study the problem of estimating the position and orientation of a calibrated camera from an image of a known scene. A common problem in camera pose estimation is the existence of false correspondences between image features and modeled 3D points. Existing techniques such as ransac to handle outliers have no guarantee of optimality. In contrast, we work with a natural extension of the L∞ norm...
متن کاملModel-Based Pose Estimation
Model-based pose estimation algorithms aim at recovering human motion from one or more camera views and a 3D model representation of the human body. The model pose is usually parameterized with a kinematic chain and thereby the pose is represented by a vector of joint angles. The majority of algorithms are based on minimizing an error function that measures how well the 3D model fits the image....
متن کاملHuman Pose Estimation
Human pose estimation is one of the key problems in computer vision that has been studied for well over 15 years. The reason for its importance is the abundance of applications that can benefit from such a technology. For example, human pose estimation allows for higher level reasoning in the context of humancomputer interaction and activity recognition; it is also one of the basic building blo...
متن کاملRecurrent Human Pose Estimation
Human pose estimation is the task of estimating the joint locations of one or multiple people within an image. It is a core challenge in computer vision because it forms the foundation of more complex tasks such as activity recognition and motion planning. For example, joint locations have been used to supplement other visual features to determine the trajectory of a person through a sequence o...
متن کاملMarker-less Pose Estimation
The ability to capture human motion precisely has benefits in various applications ranging from biomechanics studies, to physical therapy and exoskeleton control. The current most utilized methods for determining body kinematics and motion rely on either 1) optical systems which require retrofitting a room with an array of expensive cameras and tagging the subject with retro-flective markers at...
